A Week of Onesies!!!

Well... I said that I would TRY to exercise some restraint, but I can't!  I just have to share what I've been working on.

There's something about tiny clothes for tiny people... I just squeal every time I finish a onesie.  I have 5 to finish before Saturday, so if I'm able to stay on track I'll reveal them throughout the week.

I started this one by making ribbon flowers.
First you cut a 6" piece of ribbon and do a long stitch all across one edge.  As I did more and more of these I found that the flower turns out better if I made longer stitches than shown here.

Next I pulled the thread and scrunched up the ribbon. Can you tell I'm not a sewer?  I soooo don't know the correct sewing terms.

Next I pinched the two loose ends together to form a precious flower.

Then I stitched a straight line to hold it in place and cut off the excess ribbon.

Turn it over, flatten it out, and voila!  A cute little flower!  Easy Peesie??

After making a bunch of these, I pinned them down on the onesie and tacked them on.

Here's my super easy Onesie Dress.

I love making these flowers too! I have lots of ribbons, and embroidery floss, so I make these flowers as I monitor my daughters doing their homework. :)

OHMY - those onesies are to-die for! I'm such a sucker for any girlie flair - and these rosettes are fabulous!!

Ribbons, bows, flowers, ruffles, hearts, etc.....these are such a must-have.

LOVE THEM!

These are so cute. Thanks for posting them. Now I know exactly what to make for the next baby girl that comes along in our family.
