Pottery Barn Inspired Teapot and Cup Coasters

Recently I was at the mall picking up my last store bought Christmas gift and I stopped by Pottery Barn.  I saw an interesting... placemat/decorative piece that inspired me to make a coaster for my teapot and cups. (Would you call this a teapot coaster? I wasn't really sure what to call it). :o)

This is what inspired me (sorry for the crummy picture... I took it quickly with my phone.  Does anyone else ever feel funny about taking pictures of merchandise in a store??  I always wonder if it's illegal.  I always feel like I'm being sneaky. LOL)

It took A LOT of leaves to make these pieces.  It's a good thing that I am totally obsessed with making leaves right now.  I love how you can totally change the look of a leaf simply by changing the angle in which you stitch it. Here's a few close ups of my coasters.

I have some fun news... if you like these, tune back after the holidays... I'm planning on opening my Etsy store very soon and I have already made an extra set of these to list for sale.  Weeeeeeeeee!!!! :o)

Your placemats are ADORABLE!!! I love that white tea post so cute.
I have had so many Google problems-and it isn't over-Google has no idea how to solve the problem.
Sorry I haven't been by much-I decided after weeks and weeks of non-stop Google issues, I am throwing my hands up and making much needed visits.
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and hope you can come by for a visit.

Nori, you rock! That leaf coaster, never seen anything like it! I agree, it totally belongs in Etsy. (and how cute was that tree teapot?!? I'm jealous you have a PB in your neck of the woods, Canada eh? does not.)

Thanks for linking up to SNS!

Oh these are beautiful!! I think they would be so cute at a garden party!

P.S. One time I was with friends on a scavenger hunt and we needed a picture of a bed, so we went to Macy's and tried to get one there. They yelled at us! I almost cried, it was so embarrassing. I've never tried to take a picture in a store since :o)

Looks good! I once took a picture in a store and I felt like I was shoplifting or something. My SIL even stood look out for me! LOL
